The Art of Letting Go

Forgiveness isn’t easy. It’s not pretending the hurt never happened or accepting that it always will-it’s learning the art of letting go.

Think of it like opening a clenched fist. At first, your grip feels justified. But when you begin to release, peace starts to replace the pain. Over time, the weight lifts, and your spirit can breathe again.

After a divorce twenty years ago, I learned that releasing the emotions that kept me bound was a daily exercise. Unforgiveness eats away from the inside out, but letting go sets you free.

Draw closer to God. The closer you move to what defines you, the further you move from what defiles you.

Try forgiveness. Freedom is just ahead.

“For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.”

 Matthew 6:14
