One Decision

 

One decision can change everything. On this day, 25 years ago I made one decision…to resign from my career of 20 years. That one decision led me to another state, a new career and a wonderful opportunity. 

23 years ago my partner in life made one decision...ending our 20 year marriage. That one decision led to great hurt, thousands of tears and so much “stuff”. But as I reflect back at all the years since, it also led me to where I am at this moment. To a stronger version of me and a place of blessing, healing and hope. 

They say that you’re always just one decision away from a totally different life. We make good decisions and bad ones every single day. It’s never really about just one decision. It’s a series of decisions; one after another. And here is the promise that changes everything for all of us: the Lord says "everything" will work together for our benefit if we love Him and trust Him. (Romans 8:28) Every hurt, every pain, every blessing, every decision. Everything. Imagine all of the good and bad being mixed together for something great for YOU!

One decision can really change you. Let's make that one decision really count. Let's decide to trust in Jesus. Through thick and thin, let's let Him in. I can’t tell you things will always be good. But I can tell you that your life will be a one amazing adventure!
