I Need to be Organized!

This rings so true for me. Many years ago, I realized that most of my life was spent in acquisition mode. I worked to acquire money which I used to acquire things that helped me acquire status and ended with acquiring frustration! The more stuff I got, the more chaos that seemed to arrive with it. I was constantly organizing, shuffling, repacking, and relocating.

In 2014 my life started to shift. The Lord was preparing me for a new season but it would require some serious adjustments. I also saw a show about minimalists. When you live as a minimalist, you strive to only use things that serve a purpose. It's about living simply and having only what you need to go about your daily life. I was intrigued. I began unloading nearly everything I had. By the time I embarked on my new journey, all I owned could fit into my 4 door sedan. It was absolutely amazing!

Today, I would not say I am a minimalist but I am closer to that than my old acquiring/hoarding self. It's liberating and quite adventurous to try and live with only the items and clothes you need.

Intrigued at all by my story? Try releasing some stuff and you just might see how organized you really are!
