Be a Star!

Phil 2:14-15 Do everything without complaining or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe
Every time I read this verse it is a gentle reminder to watch how I talk to others. I need to pay attention to how I engage in conversations and conduct myself in meetings. Going about our days and our business without complaining or arguing is not always an easy task. But it is a necessary one. There is much to be said about living a peaceful and quiet life. We need to remember that others are watching us at the grocery store, the restaurant and even at church. Your life is a living testimony of what you believe and what is important to you. And the good news is that you become more and more pure as you develop your ability to stop complaining and arguing. We live in a crooked and depraved world. In other words, there is so much darkness around us. That is why we have a responsibility: to shine like stars in the universe. To stand out and be outstanding!
So do you shine like a star or are you often involved in conflict and discord? Ask God to help you be a peacemaker and not a piece maker. Encourage and help to lift up the spirits of others. Be a blessing to those around you. You can be a star!
