Pencil Proverbs

One of my favorite people in the world is my mom:) She is the first to like anything I do and yes, she is the first to point out anything that is wrong too! I try to provide her devotion material with this blog and sometimes she has some wonderful things to pass on to me as well. Since you never stop listening to your mom, I am going to share with you some wisdom from the past that she has passed on to me. It involves lessons we learn we from the pencil. So here are a few lessons in the Cup of Joe Pencil Proverbs.

Lesson1- EVERYTHING YOU DO WILL ALWAYS LEAVE A MARK.
Some lines are bolder than others but they are all visible.

Lesson2 -YOU CAN ALWAYS CORRECT THE MISTAKES YOU MAKE.
Thats what friends, I mean erasers are for! When life seems to have flipped upside down, it might be time for a do-over.

Lesson3 - WHAT IS IMPORTANT IS WHAT IS INSIDE OF YOU.
If you aren't showing up and being seen, you will have no impact.

Lesson4 - IN LIFE, YOU WILL UNDERGO PAINFUL SHARPENING,
WHICH WILL ONLY MAKE YOU BETTER.
Sharpening usually comes after a severe break. Though you feel like you are spinning in circles just wait, you will get the point soon:)

Lesson5 -TO BE THE BEST PENCIL, YOU MUST ALLOW YOURSELF
TO BE HELD AND GUIDED BY THE HAND THAT HOLDS YOU.

If we allow ourselves to be used by God, He will draw something beautiful with our lives. Yes, there will be painful sharpening times. But greater is He that is IN you that whatever is trying to come against you. Correction is easy when you simply turn yourself over and submit to your Creator. Let Him hold you, His hand guide you, sharpen you and draw something incredible on the canvas of your life!

Thanks MOM for sharing with me and the Cup of Joe family!
