Don't Just Give to Live: Live to Give

I'm getting up and starting this day in a very positive way. In the last ten days I have been overwhelmed by a spirit of compassion and generosity. I've always liked to think I was a giver but this season has taken things to another level entirely. I've found myself in situations where it was so easy and so rewarding. It seemed to come naturally. It is in times like these that I start to see scripture really come alive in a personal way...

Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. 2 Cor 9:7-8

Whether we are giving your time, donating your energy and abilities or pouring into things financially, the Bible reminds us to do it cheerfully. This initiates God's ability to bless our lives in ways beyond anything we have ever seen. So follow your heart, listen to your spirit, and use what you have and in ALL things, at ALL times, you will have ALL that you need and YOU will abound in every good work!
