If I were to be brutally honest with you I would say that many times when I go to the Lord it is with the wrong attitude. When things are difficult or something dramatic happens, of course I run to the Lord for help. But what about developing a simple and powerful routine for communicating with Him each day? In Psalm 100:4 it says, "
Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name."
We need to make our approach with thanksgiving and once we have made the connection, let praise elevate us into a position of sincere thankfulness. So today, before you start to pray, think about just how you are entering his gates and courts. Your attitude will definitely affect your altitude!
