Draw Near
God has opened a way for us to communicate with him. Now, because of the sacrifice that Christ made we are able to come into His presence with confidence. And because we have that access we are instructed to do some things to enhance our life in Christ.
Let me show you what the Word says...
Hebrews 10:22 "let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. 23Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. 24And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. 25Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching".
The first thing we must do is draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith. Drawing near to God requires doing things that God would do. Faith pleases God. Whenever we exercise it He is happy about it. You may be believing for a new car. You might be exercising faith for physical healing. Or you may be exercising faith for a new business venture our outreach ministry. Whatever the case, when you draw near to these things, you draw near to God.
Today, think about your Creator and what He might like to see at the top of your to-do list. Be sincere about it and place those things first and watch how close you become to the One that loves you unconditionally.
