Happy Father’s Day

 Hey Dad, it’s only my second one without you here. Last year I was still in shock at what happened. Nothing seemed real. This year I'm spending a lot of time just thinking about the tremendous impact you had on my life. I’m watching old videos filled with laughter and looking at pictures that shaped my who I have become. I miss our talks on the weekends. I miss your counsel when I find myself confused. I miss hugging you when I visit. And yes, I even miss hearing FOX News that was always on extra loud at your house!

We are all doing our best trying to fill your big shoes. Ok, they were only size 10 😂 but your influence and impact are insurmountable. It’s true you don’t realize the magnitude of someone’s life until they are no longer in your life. I miss you every single day. Sometimes I cry. Other days I smile and ask God to give you a hug. I love you Dad. 

To everyone of you whose father is with our Heavenly Father, I am praying for you and with you this weekend. Let’s take a moment to remember the smiles, the laughter and the loving actions of that special someone who will always be Dad to the bone!
