Good Counsel

 

It is always a good idea to get counsel before entering into something new. 

This week I had the opportunity to do something new at work. In preparation for it I sought counsel from people with all the wisdom for the task I was to do. As I walked into the responsibilities, I felt a bit overwhelmed because it wasn't going the way that I had been told it would go. Have you ever been there? All types of emotions were running through me as I pressed through each day. The good news is that I carried it out because of all the other help that was around me. I had co-workers that had provided instructions:an actual how-to manual for me a few days before which I forgot to read. Ever been there? I know you are smiling now!

The moral of the story for me is still the same. Ask for counsel and then carry it out with all the help you can get. God wants us to succeed and to enjoy life. Not to be overwhelmed when things don't seem to go as you planned. Get good counsel. Do your part.(read the manual)

 And surround yourself with friends who want you to win.
