When Anxiety was Great

In the midst of this COVID-19 situation, many of us are experiencing elevated levels of anxiety. When you don’t know what you are dealing with and your life gets turned upside down, it’s easy to begin to spiral out of control. Control is key. 

One day we all realize that we actually control nothing. The things that are out of our control aren’t uncontrollable. The Lord is in control. There is nothing that has ever happened that surprised Him. And I believe that the desire He has in every challenging situation is that it would draw us closer to Him. He embraces those that are afraid. He consoles those that are wounded and lonely. His joy is our strength. When anxiety was at an all-time high within me, Lord, your consolation brought me joy!
