How Can I Get it Together?
Let me give you 3 ways to help "get it together":
1- read the instructions…why do we always want a shortcut? I often look at the picture on the box of the puzzle or item and simply try to imitate that. When pieces are left over and it looks slightly different than that picture, well that’s when I go to the English translation of those directions. There are so many translations and none of them help except the one I understand. The bible is life's blueprint. Find one that you can read! Then read it…don’t look for a crib note version to get by! Forget about the seminars and how to get rich quick with little or no work. It just doesn't happen that way. Podcasts are good...God blasts are better! Read the Word. As difficult as it may seem for you, read the instructions. That’s a great place to start.
In 2 Timothy 2:15 it says…Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.
2- study to show yourself approved…in other words…be diligent. Diligent hands will rule. Diligent hands can make those pieces line up right.
Diligence is a steady and consistent application…you are fashioning a lifestyle change that will make your life run so much smoother and make you so much more attractive to others.
3- “don’t be ashamed”…you do not need to put yourself down because you have some assembly required. If you will stop talking down to yourself, others will too. Some of life’s most amazing things are made up of millions of broken pieces. You are a mosaic that God has made beautiful!
