Pay Back is a Blessing

“Finally, all of you should be of one mind. Sympathize with each other. Love each other as brothers and sisters. Be tenderhearted, and keep a humble attitude. Don’t repay evil for evil. Don’t retaliate with insults when people insult you. Instead, pay them back with a blessing. That is what God has called you to do, and he will grant you his blessing.”

Take a moment to look at these words. These words describe how you and I are to deal with each other. How we treat people is so important to God. Notice that it is never contingent on how they treat us. We initiate all of the good things even when we are not treated fairly or we are insulted. We should always take the high road because there is less traffic. Pay back with a blessing!

When we learn how to treat others the way that God intended, we are also treated properly. God sends blessings back to us! So the choice is yours; eye for an eye, or blessing for a blessing.
