Heaven sent
The most quotable scripture of all time is found in the Gospel of John, 3:16 where we are told that God sent His only Son, so that anyone that believed in Him would not perish but would live for eternity with Him.
John 6:32Jesus said, “I tell you the truth, Moses didn’t give you bread from heaven. My Father did. And now he offers you the true bread from heaven. The true bread of God is the one who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.” (John 6:32, 33 NLT)For the Bread of God is He Who comes down out of heaven and gives life to the world.
Heaven sent a gift…a sacrifice…a payment for the sin of the world and all we had to do was acknowledge the gift and receive it. For it is by GRACE that you are saved…not by anything that you have said or done, it is a free gift of God. The price has been paid. Heaven sent Jesus!
Obstacles removed
Once the Savior of the world, fully God and fully man came down, He began to remove the things that kept tripping up humanity. Stumbling blocks like guilt, shame, unforgiveness, bitterness…these things needed to be removed. It began on that Sunday morning…
MARK 16:1Saturday evening, when the Sabbath ended, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome went out and purchased burial spices so they could anoint Jesus’ body. Very early on Sunday morning, just at sunrise, they went to the tomb. On the way they were asking each other, “Who will roll away the stone for us from the entrance to the tomb?” But as they arrived, they looked up and saw that the stone, which was very large, had already been rolled aside.
People saved
There was a purpose for this heaven sent, obstacle remover…to save those that were lost…to restore the connection once again between Creator and those He created.
1 Timothy 1:14 And the grace (unmerited favor and blessing) of our Lord [actually] flowed out superabundantly and beyond measure for me, accompanied by faith and love that are [to be realized] in Christ Jesus.15 The saying is sure and true and worthy of full and universal acceptance, that Christ Jesus (the Messiah) came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am foremost.
People saved is the priority…satan defeated is the path. Jesus took the power away from the enemy and with Christ IN YOU, there is a power that you have to overcome the things that have tried to overcome you. Your eternal salvation is what he bought. He that wins souls is wise!
For the Son of Man came to seek and to save that which was lost. Luke 19:10
Eternity prepared
There is no greater feeling than knowing where you are going…not just on earth when you need to get somewhere…knowing where you will spend eternity is paramount for those that follow Christ. You see God not only had a plan for your life, He placed in you special talents and abilities that only you can do. You are to use them for His glory to tell others about Him until He comes back for you. And when He does, where will you go?
John 14:1 DO NOT let your hearts be troubled (distressed, agitated). You believe in and adhere to andtrust in and rely on God; believe in and adhere to and trust in and rely also on Me.2 In My Father’s house there are many dwelling places (homes). If it were not so, I would have told you; for I am going away to prepare a place for you.3 And when (if) I go and make ready a place for you, I will come back again and will take you to Myself, that where I am you may be also.4 And [to the place] where I am going, you know the way.
