You Made the Team Part 2

Since God chose you  to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Make allowance for each other’s faults and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony.  COL 3:12-14

I am so happy that He chose us to be his people; the holy people He loves. Think about that for a moment...God loves you! That's so comforting. To know love and be loved is what every one of us desire. He has forgiven every silly thing we have done and even provided us a uniform to wear each day as we play this game of life. 

Let's stay with this baseball theme. We have to clothe ourselves; put on the right uniform. We have to forgive ourselves and make allowance for the shortcomings and mistakes of others. And we are reminded to forgive others too. No matter how our seasons have gone so far, the past is over. What matters now is what we do with today. Oh and one more thing. To top it all off, we put on the cap that goes with our uniform. Put on LOVE! LOVE caps it all off! Every team has a uniform. Every player wears one. And it's the cap that tells others what team we belong to.

Love brings everything together and lets people know that you belong to Christ and serve him. He chose you! You made the team and now you get to play in the greatest season yet. Are you ready? It's game day!
