Trouble that Produces Glory

For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever!

This is a great little reminder out of 2 Corinthians 4. Not everything is going to go your way. Sometimes life can get messy and there can be challenges. Jesus never said that there wouldn't be troubles. He said just the opposite! BUT, the Good News is that those troubles WILL go away. You and I will become stronger because of them. The difficulties will produce incredible blessings if we simply trust the Lord and hold on to His Word.

It seems that people are overwhelmed these days with so many things. And I’m certain that we would all probably say that our problems do not fall into that “small” category! The size of the trouble should not be the focus. We need to see the size of our God. And our God says that whatever the challenges are, they will not last long. In fact, they will produce something in us that is eternal. Imagine that; glory producing trouble!

When I see those that have lost there smile or seem to be in a dark place, I think about the good that the Lord is producing for them that is just around the corner. Its then that I realize how small some of my troubles are in the grand scheme of things.

What is God making in you and for you? Don't be depressed and don't get discouraged. This won't last long! The eternal glory that is in store for you far surpasses your present troubles.
