Hope IN Heaven
“the faith and love that spring up from the hope that is stored for you in heaven” Colossians 1:5
As I read these words today, I stopped right after this verse…hope that is stored up for me? In heaven? I never really thought about that. I’ve heard that we have hope OF heaven but never fully understood that I have a hope account that is stored up IN heaven! This is great revelation!
My HOPE account IN heaven is managed by God and I can connect to it, withdraw from it and use it at any time. It's an account that is never low and won't ever be depleted. I exchange it for faith to believe in the purposes and plans that God has for me. I exchange it for love…His love…that allows me to treat other people with respect and grace. Because I have hope IN
So if you feel your faith waning, if you are finding it hard to love others, check the balance in your hope account. God is not diminishing. God’s power is not fading. In fact in verse 6 we are reminded that the gospel is bearing fruit and growing. We should be too!
We not only have the hope OF heaven, we have hope IN heaven. Tap into that today!
