The first thing to do today is...

The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know. Pray especially for rulers and their governments to rule well so we can be quietly about our business of living simply, in humble contemplation. This is the way our Savior God wants us to live. 

1 Timothy 2:1 MSG

Read this verse again, slowly. Imagine that description of the life that the Lord desires for you and for me...quiet, simple and contemplative. Picture yourself with no anxiety or stress and a genuine concern for your neighbors and friends. Is any of this even possible?

Of course it is! We were designed to enjoy our lives and to experience fulfillment in everything we do. We were made to interact with each other and to bring about God's purposes on the planet. So what do we need to do to get things moving forward in the right direction?

Pray! Praying every way that you know how to pray. Pray for everyone you know. Say a special prayer for all of those folks that are drafting up laws and passing rules and regulations that affect us each day. 

It's time to enjoy that simple and humble life that we were meant to live. Take a moment right now and pray like it was the last prayer you were able to pray!
