Get it Together!

1 Corinthians 1:10 I appeal to you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another so that there may be no divisions among you and that you may be perfectly united in mind and thought.

Take a second and look at those places that are underlined: agree with one another, no divisions among you, perfectly united. There is a great energy and power that comes when we are in sync with each other. But understand today that to be agreeable with each other does not mean that we always agree. The way we handle disputes, controversies and division is so important. Most times we simply ignore them hoping they go away. Or sometimes we disengage from the group, which is more like denial. This is where divisions begin. As believers doing the work of the Lord, we are to be "unified". To be unified is to be moving in the same direction though we may be using different methods and techniques to get there. Don't get diversity confused with division. 

We are all to play a part in the Body of Christ. Strive to be perfectly united in mind and thought and see what happens!

Oh how good and pleasant it is when people dwell together in unity! Don't you agree?
