All of Heaven Applauds!

Matthew 5:11 “Not only that—count yourselves blessed every time people put you down or throw you out or speak lies about you to discredit me. What it means is that the truth is too close for comfort and they are uncomfortable. You can be glad when that happens—give a cheer, even!—for though they don’t like it, I do! And all heaven applauds. And know that you are in good company. My prophets and witnesses have always gotten into this kind of trouble.

I am trying to visualize the image described in this verse. Heaven applauding for me? I can get the first part of the verse because life is filled with tormentors and people that don't say nice things. I am still a work in progress when it comes to "giving a cheer" when insults come. What I see is that how I respond to adversity matters. 

As I read the earlier verses I can see that there are many reasons to consider my life blessed. I can tell that my actions can bring about some amazing things because I matter to God. You matter too! Imagine all of heaven, applauding your life and what it stands for. That's amazing! What a sight that must be! Applauding every time someone is chastised for their faith AND having a little party when a person makes Jesus their Lord! Today, don't let unkind words and harsh actions keep you down. Close your eyes and see all of heaven and the angels celebrating YOU! Wow!
