There are so many reasons that I wanted to share this link above with you. We don't get to choose our family. Many of us come from homes where our dreams are celebrated and our abilities nurtured in loving and caring ways. And unbelievably in this country, there are hundreds of thousands of children that are in the foster care system and long to be loved and hugged. Who is going to foster the change? 

These children just want to be held when they are afraid. They want someone to care when they hurt.

My prayer today is that you will take a few uninterrupted moments in your day and sit and watch this short little video...I mean really watch it. Let the words and the facts settle into your spirit and see if your heart is touched in such a way that you can't help but DO SOMETHING. To foster the change we need to do something to change the foster system. To be those that love these kids...those that pray for families ready to help...those that do whatever we can to participate. 

This video was created and launched by my good friend Carol Mathews, who owns Hero Productions(www.heroproductions.org). She is an amazing storyteller and producer. Her first feature film, Home Run, was overwhelmingly successful and has provided her the opportunity to begin this new project that will bring profound awareness to the foster system and more importantly, these incredible kids. Personally, I am involved in many ways as we produce a documentary and follow it up with another feature film which will be called "Good Enough". You WILL want to be involved with all of this!
