There is nothing so useless...
The other day while looking through some old papers I ran across this quote:
"There is nothing so useless as doing efficiently that which should not be done at all" Peter Drucker
"There is nothing so useless as doing efficiently that which should not be done at all" Peter Drucker
Instantly I began to think of my daily schedule. I thought about the people, the meetings, the conversations and the errands that would be a part of the day. I felt like I was being very efficient and also a great steward of my time. But what if I was being super great at stuff I should not even be doing? Why did I meet those people? Is this meeting really important? Am I praying about what I will do today?
A nugget of wisdom from Proverbs tells us to trust in the Lord and our plans would be established. In other words, if I let God guide the "stuff" I won't ever feel like I am doing something that wasn't worthwhile. Consider today that not all good ideas are God ideas. God will direct the life and steps of anyone that calls upon Him. And when you are following His plans the best part is that you will be satisfying your own personal desires too! Trust Him. Acknowledge Him. Lean on Him. He will bless your path today with good success!
