What a Rollercoaster!

Sometimes me life can feel like a reality TV show. There are things that happen that make me look around to see if someone is filming this. Am I being "punk'd?" Ups and down, twists and turns, sometimes flipping upside down...its a rollercoaster! In times like these when I don't really know what is happening that I realize God is up to something. I usually pray for clarity. But the other day I had a friend that offered this: perhaps rather than praying for clarity you should pray to trust God more. Boom. Drop the microphone. Peace out. 

That word smacked me in the face and was so powerful it altered the way I am riding this rollercoaster that is my life. When we trust in God we move forward even though we don't see the picture. We have to rely upon Him...depend upon Him. If I had that clarity I might decide I don't need that dependence anymore because I can see the bigger picture. So today, Im just taking the step thats in front of me and trusting God for the rest. I can't get off the ride so I might as well enjoy it!

Maybe you're like me and want to see more of what is in front of you so that you can plan accordingly. I think we need to walk by faith and not by sight. To trust God and believe that He knows what is best for us and will lead us to the right places. So Lord, I'm ok just seeing what I am seeing. I will try to enjoy the journey through the valleys and up and down these hills. And when this ride hits that loop-de-loop and I get tossed upside down, I will just thank you because you've got you're arms around me and I'm securely strapped in.

Trust in God today. This ride is going to be exciting and our emotions are going to be all over the place. It may feel like a rollercoaster. But He's got us so let's just enjoy the ride!
