Landing in the Ditch

The wisdom of the wise keeps life on track; 

the foolishness of fools lands them in the ditch. Proverbs 14:8

Life on track versus life that lands in the ditch. I wonder how many times in our life we find ourselves "in the ditch". Maybe it's an actual ditch but I would venture to guess that many times we have been emotionally derailed or mentally side-swiped and found ourselves "off road"to some extent. Being off-road can feel a bit exciting, sort of like a rogue agent, but I can assure you that it gets old quick. We were not designed to be Bond-like. We were made to have a bond with Christ! We were designed to stay on God's highway of favor. 

Imagine a road where your vehicle is not destroyed by potholes or a stretch of road where uneven lanes don't cause accidents. Life is full of obstacles along the way and only God can help us to navigate our way through the difficulties and get back "on track"again. Wisdom is making the right choices at the right time. Wisdom is what keeps you and I on track. 

Isn't it time you got back on the HIGHway?
