Fight for It

1 Timothy 1:18 This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare, 19 having faith and a good conscience, which some having rejected, concerning the faith have suffered shipwreck, 20 of whom are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I delivered to Satan that they may learn not to blaspheme.

Paul encouraged Timothy to always hold dearly the memory of how he entered into ministry and to use those memories to fuel his passion to fight the good fight of faith. Being in ministry and using your talents and skills for the Lord is a battle! Many folks pray to be in full-time ministry and then once they get into it, realize that they should have prayed differently:)
When was the last time you fought for something that was important to you? When was the last time you fought for someone else? Too often we give in to things that should not be allowed to have power over us. Your family is worth fighting for. Your friends are worth fighting for. And your faith...yes, that is also worth fighting for! Now get out there and fight a good fight!
