Where's the Help?

Psalm 121:1-8 I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord,the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your foot slip—he who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord watches over you—the Lord is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day,nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep you from all harm—he will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.

I've been spending the summer in the psalms and have come to this little one today. It begins with a question that all of us will have to answer. Where does my help come from? My prayer is that every one of us recognizes that our help comes from the Creator of life, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let you slip. Notice that 5 times we are reminded that we are being watched over! You and I are under surveillance:)

So take courage today as you lift up your eyes and trust in the Lord. He is watching over you and you will not fail. Trust Him! That is where your help comes from.
