Groans of Glory
Romans 8:26-28 And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words. And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will. And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.
There have been many days that I began the day in prayer with absolutely no idea what to pray or who today for. My mind was in some other place, in fact if I were honest I would say that I wasn't really into praying at all!
The good news is that His grip on me is not determined by my grasp of Him. When my mind is wandering, my spirit can still be groaning. Call them groans of glory that speak directly to the heart of God and exactly to what is necessary for that moment and that day.
Things may not always work but they will always work out when God is in charge. Having a tough start today? Has your mind taken a break? No worries, initiate the spirit mode and let the groans of glory begin!
