Steady and Straight

Psalm 119:1 1-8 You’re blessed when you stay on course,walking steadily on the road revealed by God.You’re blessed when you follow his directions,doing your best to find him. That’s right—you don’t go off on your own;you walk straight along the road he set.You, God, prescribed the right way to live;now you expect us to live it.Oh, that my steps might be steady,keeping to the course you set;Then I’d never have any regrets in comparing my life with your counsel.I thank you for speaking straight from your heart;I learn the pattern of your righteous ways.I’m going to do what you tell me to do;don’t ever walk off and leave me.

What an awesome reminder that we can indeed live life on the right path! It's really quite simple: here's three easy things to remember...

1-walk steady

Pace yourself as you go but always keep going. Don't let the bad stuff stop you from moving ahead.

2- follow the directions

If you are like me you often try to "wing it". I cook like this. I don't measure, I guess:) My end result is always better when I follow the directions.

3- speak straight from the heart

We need to be honest and straightforward with our speech. Be authentic and genuine.

Tell the Lord that you are going to do what he tells you today. You won't regret it!
