AIM High!

Romans 12:1 So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.

This week our young people have taken their gifts and talents to the local city park. It's part of what they call AIM which is a vacation Bible experience for our city. Watching them prepare and then seeing the excitement and energy they use to bring this about reminds me of this scripture. They are truly taking their life and placing it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for us is the best thing that you and I can do for Him...and for others too!

Tonight, many from our church will witness this event first hand and just as the Word says, we will all be changed from the inside out. When you help to bring out the best in others, God brings out the best in you!

So what are you AIMing for? What are you doing with your talents and abilities? Take your everyday, ordinary life and place it in Gods hands. You will be amazed at what He is able to bring about!
