What is the Truth?

The other day I was trying to figure out the "truth" in a situation that I was in. It seems that these days truth is more relative than absolute. In other words, if the truth doesn't work for you, change the version of the truth. How crazy is that? We need the truth! Why? Because there are so many deceptions in this world. A deception is a subtle bending of the truth. There's just enough truth to make you believe it and theres just enough lie to not make it true. If we have no absolute standard for truth, we will never "know the truth" and therefore we will never be truly set free. Deception brings compromise and compromise washes away truth. We need to stop spiritual erosion. How? Look at Psalm 1 as it describes a life that is blessed and happy:

Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked,

or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers.

2But they delight in the law of the Lord, meditating on it day and night.

3They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season.

Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do.

Don't walk, stand or sit in places that are healthy. When you walk in the right places you end up standing with the right crowd. Then you can sit and soak in all of the righteousness that God has designed for you. Truth gets you unstuck. Delight in the words that Christ has shared with us through scripture.  Jesus said He was the way, the TRUTH and the life! Think about that! Follow Him and you will flourish, bear fruit and prosper in every way!
