Move Towards Love
Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near. HEB 10:24-25
When was the last time you really put some
thought and energy into making someone else’s life a little better? Or the last
time you gave someone a compliment? There is nothing more powerful than
encouragement, in fact, my belief is that if you accentuate and point out the
good things in others, those areas in them will become stronger. Perhaps we spend way
too much time trying to strengthen our weaknesses than developing our
strengths. Say kind things, compliment others and point out the good in the people you meet. Use your words and actions to elevate and not to deflate.
Take a few moments right now to think of ways
to motivate and spur one another on to good works. Build people up and be
careful to not tear them down. And find a place where you can gather with other
faith-filled people to grow in your faith and learn the art of hospitality,
kindness and how to develop the fruit of the spirit in your life. Now is the
time! Let love rule and win the day!
