911 Rescue

So here we are, rolling into the first third of the first month of 2013. Statistics tell us(for whatever they are worth) that many resolutions that were made ten days ago have already been broken or compromised. Some folks may already find themselves in new situations that are challenging and traumatic. The Good News is that the Lord is aware of all you are going through and He wants desperately to help you. He is for you right now! And if God is for you, who can stand against you!

One of my favorite scriptures is Psalm 91 which is packed with encouragement. So if you are thanking God it's Friday, go a little deeper and read this:

Psalm 91:14-16 The Lord says, “I will rescue those who love me. I will protect those who trust in my name. When they call on me, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them. I will reward them with a long life and give them my salvation.”

Rescue, protection, answers, companionship, honor, rewards of a long life and eternal life too! In fact here is a simple thing you and I can remember. In fact, when I am in need of urgent help, this is my 911: "Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty". Psalm 91:1
