A Real Thanksgiving

Matt 25:34 "Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Enter, you who are blessed by my Father! Take what's coming to you in this kingdom. It's been ready for you since the world's foundation.35 And here's why: I was hungry and you fed me, I was thirsty and you gave me a drink, I was homeless and you gave me a room,36 I was shivering and you gave me clothes, I was sick and you stopped to visit, I was in prison and you came to me.'
37 "Then those 'sheep' are going to say, 'Master, what are you talking about? When did we ever see you hungry and feed you, thirsty and give you a drink?38-39 And when did we ever see you sick or in prison and come to you?'40 Then the King will say, 'I'm telling the solemn truth: Whenever you did one of these things to someone overlooked or ignored, that was me-you did it to me.'
Today, a part of our ministry will feed a Thanksgiving meal to folks in our community. A real thanksgiving to people we are connected to. 
As I watched in utter disgust yesterday as our government "super committee" gave up on trying to cut cost and get the nation budget balanced, rather than get angry I simply thanked the Lord that I am surrounded by people who do not quit! If it is in your power to meet a need then meet it!
People are still struggling and many are hungry. And I am thankful today that there are people connected to our ministry that can't sit by and watch as people are hungry, thirsty and cold. Thank you guys and girls for not quitting and saying we can't! We CAN do all things through Christ. Miracles come in CANS!
May God bless the Glenpool Outreach Center as they open the doors today, feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty and love on some folks. Jesus will be pleased:)
