I'm with Stupid!
The other day I was doing some fixing up and cleaning up around the house. I was just going about the business at hand and suddenly I did something that was not very smart. To be honest it was stupid...so stupid that I actually ended up saying out loud, "joe, you are so stupid!" As soon as those words came out of my mouth I realized that what I had done was not very beneficial to my success. In fact, I used words to tear myself down. I heard myself say something about me that was simply not true.
In Psalm 139:14 it reads, "Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it." One translation reminds me that I am fearfully and wonderfully made. I'm not stupid at all and I should be one of the first ones to confess that!
What types of things do you say to yourself? Maybe you have done what I did to yourself before. Faith comes by hearing but so does doubt. It's time to change our language and speak blessing and success over ourselves. There will be enough people to try and call you stupid...don't join them!
