Happy in Adversity?

It's not always easy to take the high road. According to scripture we should treat others like we want to be treated and honor others before ourselves. When it is at all possible concerning us, we should live in peace with our neighbor. There are many words of instruction provided to us to help us navigate our lives.
Romans 5 says..
"we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance;4 perseverance, character; and character, hope.5 And hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us."
Let's start with the first part and notice that suffering(adversity) produces: it makes you and I into something more than we were. An airplane takes off and flies higher by going head on into the wind. Suffering can lead the way to a strong, faith filled spirit-led believer. Perseverance comes from going through "stuff".
So if you have really been going through it, take courage! Your building up some endurance, some stamina. You really can be happy in adversity:)
