God's Perfect Timing
There is something incredibly wonderful about perfect timing. Nothing produces successful results like being in the right place at the right time. The other day I was reading a verse that talked about the "waiting" process. Seems like I am always waiting on prayers to be answered...or am I? Maybe God's waiting on me? Look at this verse out of Isaiah 30:18...
So the Lord must wait for you to come to him
so he can show you his love and compassion.
For the Lord is a faithful God.
Blessed are those who wait for his help.
He is waiting on us in the first part, we are waiting on Him in the last part. Well, if He's waiting on me and I am waiting on Him, how will we ever meet? The issue is NOT about waiting but rather about doing. The Lord wants to be gracious to us and bring about His will in our lives. I like to imagine that the Lord is "longing" for me to come to the realization that I need Him and I must trust Him. As a father of three children, I know how it feels to wait on my children to make the right choices. Though I wait for them to decide, I am constantly moving towards them and setting things up to help bring that revelation to them sooner. Sometimes it may appear that my back is turned or that I don't care but as any father knows, this is not true. My main concern is for their well-being and their success. So I wait and at times they probably feel like they are waiting on me. But the bottom line is that there will come a moment when their desire is perfectly synchronized with my provision...perfect timing!
My timing is never perfect but God's always is. Someone once said that He is never early and He is never late...He is always right on time! Today, trust the timing of your heavenly Father. He knows what He is doing and He also knows what you are doing. You may feel like you are in the middle of a waiting game but I can assure you that He is doing all that He can to collide with your dreams and desires. When preparation meets opportunity there is great success. He longs to be gracious to you! Remember this...you are not growing apart, you are coming together! He is a faithful God!
