Twas' the Day After Christmas...

Twas the day after Christmas
and all through our dwelling
The ham, bread and pies
made our stomachs keep swelling
The stockings were empty
but the tree still gleamed bright
And there’s guests in my house
for at least one more night
The snowfall was pretty
I’m a White Christmas believer
But now I must get out!
I’ve got cabin fever!
I’m ready to go out
And stand with the others,
The fathers, the children,
the grandmas and mothers
To trade in the pants
and the shirts, oh so small
It’s been 20 years since I
could wear that size y’all.
But I’ll grin and I’ll bear it
Cause it’s what I must do.
Twas the Day after Christmas…
Was it good for you?
