Priorities
Priorities...we need to establish them...they help us become all that we were meant to be. Doing the most important things first...taking care of what's important will help us to bring the right results into our lives. Priorities matter to Christ. In Matthew 23 you can read how he rebuked the Pharisees for allowing their priorities to bring about dysfunction. If we are going to try and prioritize our lives, why not look at what Jesus did? What were His priorities? Read what the Bible says...
Mark 1:35Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed. 36Simon and his companions went to look for him, 37and when they found him, they exclaimed: "Everyone is looking for you!"
38Jesus replied, "Let us go somewhere else—to the nearby villages—so I can preach there also. That is why I have come."
He began His day by getting off alone and in a quiet place to pray. He understood that in order to accomplish His purposes in each day, He had to strengthen Himself. He refueled Himself and then refreshed others. If things just keep piling up on you and you cannot seem to get ahead, try starting your day with some quiet time in prayer. Keep the main thing, the main thing. Ask God to help you get your priorities in order and keep them that way. You will find yourself increasing in strength and able to meet the challenges and opportunities of each new day!
