Less Can Be More
In John 10:10 we read, "I have come that you might have life, and that you might have it more abundantly."
When we think about a life that is abundant the natural train of thought is to look for more. Abundant life means more money, more relationships, more opportunities...right?
I was thinking today about how blessed I am to be saved and how awesome it is to have these promises in scripture to hold on to. I feel like I am living that abundant life but it is not because I have more of everything. I have lost many things over the last few years...money, friends and even family but I am living in abundance. Because abundance does not always mean more. Abundance deals with priorities and perspective. Less can be more when your life has been balanced out by God. Sometimes money is lost to give us an appreciation for how we make it and a desire to start saving it. Often people will leave your life so that you have the opportunity to get to the places that God wants to take you.
Jesus died for our sins and He came to give you and I life...an abundant life. And if you are one of those whose life is experiencing this trimming down process, don't worry. For you too, less can be more and God will not only balance you out He will build you up!
