The Anchor of HOPE

HOPE is another anchor for life. Hope is what we should be doing while we let patience have her perfect work. When hope is rejected then the heart is unstable. If you have ever said well there is no way that will happen or told yourself that all hope was gone, then you probably experienced what a sick heart feels like. There’s an old hymn which said “our hope is built on nothing less than Jesus blood and righteousness.” Our HOPE is in Christ and we have that hope as an anchor for our soul. Christ in you is the hope of glory. When Jesus resides in us, we tie our desires and our hopes to him. And because He is faithful and always just, we know that when we hold out hope with Him everything is going to be alright. Hope in that promotion and you may be disappointed. Hope that people will say and do the right thing and you set yourself up for a fall. Hope in God for your soul to be saved and you have put into place a firm foundation that cannot be shaken. When you Help Other Practice Enthusiasm in their situation and show them Jesus in the midst of their trial, you give them hope.
